NEW PATIENTS

New patients will be offered an appointment for an initial assessment when possible within 24 hours.  The initial assessment will take place at the Physiotherapy Clinic and will last up to one hour.  A GP referral letter is not essential

After the physiotherapist has made a full assessment, a treatment program will be proposed.  When appropriate some treatment may be included in the initial assessment.

Follow-up treatment sessions are normally of 30 minutes duration, possibly
1- 2 times per week.

Wheelchair access is available.

INSURANCE

Physiotherapy is covered by most private health insurance companies.  Prior authorisation of the referral will be required from the Insurer  before being able to assess and treat the patient.   For insured or other healthcare patients where prior arrangement has been made, an invoice will be sent direct to the insurance company or other intermediary.  For private patients, payment will be due at the time of the initial assessment or follow-up treatment.
